Helen’s Kilimanjaro Challenge

Our Chair of Trustees, Helen Smith, is walking up and down her drive 843 times to raise money for two hospitals, Kisiizi and Dreamland Mission Hospital in Kenya.

There is a 7 metre height difference between the bottom and the top of the drive, so 843 round trips means that she will have climbed the equivalent of the height that the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro is above sea level.

East Africa is suffering from a tripple whammy at the moment: coronavirus and the unintended consequences of government decisions, severe flooding and a plague of locusts. Helen explains in this video why she is carrying out this challenge.

To support her please donate on the challenge’s special fundraising page (click the highlighted text) rather than the general donate button on this page.
