From the 7th to the 10th September this year Roger Wormald be undertaking the London to Paris cycle ride covering the 300 mile route from Crystal Palace to The Eiffel Tower. He’ll be riding for Kisiizi Hospital to thank the Reading Urology Partnership who undertake two pro bono trips each year to the hospital in Uganda, where they perform prostate surgery as well as other urological procedures and also provide training and equipment to the local doctors, surgeons and nursing staff. Adam Jones and his team at Reading Urology successfully treated Roger and removed one of his kidneys in July last year following a cancer diagnosis. He has subsequently had two clear CT scans so all is looking good for the future.
Roger says, “I wanted to thank the team and support their work in a worthwhile cause supporting the local poor rural community at Kisiizi in Uganda, so any donations from you will be gratefully received.”
Kisiizi Partners is very grateful to Roger for raising money for us through this sponsored cycle ride. He has already raised more than £2000 that will make a big difference to the surgical team at Kisiizi.
